History of E.C.S.

Eagledale Christian School (E.C.S.) began as a ministry of Eagledale Baptist Church in 1975.  Although there were other Christian schools in the area, we felt the Lord was leading us to start our own school.  Beginning with only a kindergarten, the school has now grown to K-4 through the 12th grade.  The first graduating class of nine seniors received their diplomas in 1987.  We are a traditional school using primarily the A Beka curriculum.

E.C.S. has a beautiful school complex that was completed in time for the 1978-79 school year.  Along with fifteen classrooms, there is a gymnasium, elementary playground, library, lunchroom, science lab, and a computer lab.  The classrooms are carpeted and air-conditioned for year-round comfort.  A ten acre recreational complex includes a soccer field, a softball field, and a picnic pavilion.

E.C.S. was begun to assist parents in their God-given responsibility to bring their children up "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4).  As the home, church, and school cooperate and work together, God's plan for each child can be realized.  Our entire school program is designed to help parents fulfill their command of God and to lead their children to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and a continual growth in Him.

The Bible is the basis of all our education and is the foundation of the ministry of E.C.S.
