What We Believe

  • We believe in the verbal, plenary (complete) inspiration of the Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible is the final authority for faith and practice. Matt. 5:18; John 16:12-13; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21

  • We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Duet 6:4; Mark 12:29; Luke 1:31-3; I Peter 1:2-3

  • We believe in the deity, virgin birth, vicarious death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe in His bodily ascension into heaven, where He now intercedes for believers. John 1:1-3,14; Luke 1:27-35; I Peter 2:24; Acts 1:9-10; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25; Heb 9:24

  • We believe that salvation is the gift of God, by grace and received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Rom. 3:24-28; Eph. 1:7; Eph.2:8-9

  • We believe that all believers, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever. John 10:27-29; I Peter 1:3-5; I John 5:11-13

  • We believe in the personal, imminent, pretribulational rapture of all believers, the premillenial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom. I Thess. 1:10, 4:13-18; 5:9-10; Rev. 19:11-16; Rev. 20:1-6

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. We believe in a literal heaven and hell. Matt.25:46; Mark 9:43-48; John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; II Thess.1:7-9; Rev. 20:11-15

  • We believe in the local church as God's autonomous institution of regenerate, immersed believers practicing two scriptural ordinances - baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. We believe there are two scriptural offices - pastor and deacon. Matt.3:6; 13-17; Matt. 28:19-20; Rom. 6:4; Matt. 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; I Cor. 11:23-29

  • We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to live a holy life and to carry out the Great Commission by seeking to proclaim the Gospel to all mankind. Rom 12:1-2; II Tim.3; I John 2:15-17; II Cor. 6:14; II Cor. 7:1; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; II Cor. 5:19-23
